That Post-Holiday LEGO Cleanup (But Make It Sustainable)

The Conscious Classroom

Simple, sustainable STEM ideas that reduce waste, spark curiosity, and inspire young minds.,

Hi Reader,

If you’re in that strange, quiet space between Christmas and New Year’s — where pajamas are acceptable all day and suddenly the kids’ rooms feel very full — you’re not alone.

If LEGO bricks are part of your post-holiday cleanup plans, there’s a way to declutter that feels genuinely good.

I just shared a new blog post all about LEGO Replay, a program that lets families donate used LEGO bricks so they can be cleaned, reused, and shared with kids and communities who need them. It’s a simple, free way to keep LEGO out of landfills and in play — while also lightening the load in your home.

In the post, I cover:

  • How LEGO Replay works (spoiler alert - it’s FREE to participate!)
  • What you can donate (loose bricks welcome)
  • What to do if the program isn’t available in your country
  • Why LEGO reuse is such a powerful sustainability and STEM lesson for kids

This week between Christmas and New Year’s is perfect for a small reset — not a total overhaul, just thoughtful choices that set the tone for the year ahead. Sometimes that starts with one box of LEGO bricks.

Sustainably yours,
Jessica
